I have lots of amazing memories of this little island in Asia. I attended Nanyang University for a few weeks and traveled there many times. It’s also a hub from where to visit all South East Asia. I was there for the opening of the Marina Bay Sands, and its iconic infinite pool with a […]

Abu Dhabi
The capital of the UAE is a stunning place, an oasis between the Arabian desert and the Persian Gulf. I remember discovering, around 2010, their vision 2030 for a cultural center, comprising several world-class museums. I was in AD more recently for New Year 2019 and for my last trip before COVID in Feb 2020. I […]
Rome
My souvenirs of Rome date back from the Latin books and classes. It’s amazing to walk in the streets around the Forum and the Coliseum and feel like people lived there 2000 years ago. Nothing more relaxing than A night walk across the Trastevere after a long day.
San Francisco
I first went to San Francisco in 1984. Since then it smells like the American dream. Baseball, pancakes and cable car. I went back several times, including twice in 2018. One of my favorite spots is the city view across the GoldenGate Bridge. I just sit there and breathe deeply.
Sydney
I went to Sydney for the first time to spend Y2K with Jamie. The New Year party took place on Bondi Beach. Since then I like going back to the beach. In 2018 I went there with my drone and took a dronie. It was so cool to shoot this picture, I cannot believe it […]
Chamonix Mont-Blanc
Thibaud took me on a flight around Mont Blanc which convinced me to take flying lessons and become a private pilot. The view from the aircraft is stunning.
Paris
Paris is home because I was born there and studied there, but I’ve learnt to live with another home, Geneva. I like meeting people with two home places. I like people who understand the cultural difference between Paris and Geneva, although it’s less than one hour fly apart.
Geneva
Geneva is home, my other home with Paris. It’s a quiet place where to raise a family while traveling the world from its midsize airport.
Bahamas
William had told me about the Bahamas many times. In particular a place called Elbow Cay (a “cay” is a small island like a sand bank near a coral reef). I finally found an opportunity to spend a week there in the summer of 2018. Unfortunately Hurricane Dorian, with winds at 200mph, the worst ever […]
Damaraland and Namibia
Visiting Namibia was a dream that came true in 2018. All the people who went there had told me about its beauty. I’m glad I could check it out by myself. I was not disappointed. From a dream it became one of my best souvenirs. one picture I had in mind is the forest
